It would not bother me after the hits with a mettle spoon that cut me. It would bother kids that are not use to hot things i love it so it would be a positive to me.

after my divorce i heard from a friend that my ex-husband's new wife was doing this to his son to stop him from telling lies.
i was very upset about it especially since he had learned to lie from his father.. i think it is mean, what do you think about it?.

she has tried everything to get me to the meetings,blackmail,bribes,peer presure.she has gotten my good jw friends to ask and encourage me to go.

She has always asked loudly in front of a big group of jw's if i would go. She has offered me many things I would get them after the meeting. I have fought not to go for 2 years and suffered in the cult for 12 Years. I have never thought my mother would kick me out of the house at such a young age just because I did not go to meetings. luckily I had a loving father who now live with. But I still go to my moms and she try's to get me to meetings.This time she trapped me
I was suppose to have a relaxing time up north with my mom so I packed and went up now I had never expected that right wen I got up there she told me I had to go to the meeting on Thursday. Now this was a shock I have to go to a meeting I mean I am not a jw anymore and I'm even on vacation and now I have to go to the meetings. Ya right, I told her I refused but she new my dad could not come to pick me up my brothers are too buisy so what am I suppose to do to get out of this. I had no way out so I tried my favorite trick to get out of school for a day Fake sick. It did work but now i am told I have to go all the way back home to go to the doctors my vacation ruined and I'm not sick what will the doctor say. to my suprise there was a clinic in a small town near by. and to my luck I got sick for real by the next day. So I got out of that fine but what will i do if she try's to trap me again?

favourite games to play as a child during boring meetings
by Surfacing inmy parents were both very strict, and i wasn't allowed any toys at the hall.
my rations included a copy of my book of bible stories, and a pen and note pad.
my parents were strict to the point of not allowing me to draw pictures, i had to "take notes".

Wow i never new that all of you played the same things as me i mostly counted the roof tiles i still remember the odd number it was 25 big tiles 1000 smaller. What i also did was make poetry and stores making it look like i was taking notes. How i got away with not having any notes was i went to my friends and quickly copied there notes at the end of the meeting. I envyd my older brothers that always asked to go to the washroom and stay there for a long time and i was only aloud 1 minute or i regret it if you now what i mean.

My non-jw family's 1st memorial

i was also dating a young sis at the time and was so thrilled that my family would see the beauty of this 'spiritual paradise'.
my mom and three sisters went and my mother was clear that she would not tolerate anything to embarass me.

The craziest memorial I've been to is this. I was about 10 years old a usual forced to go to the memorial no mater how much i begged and lied to stay and do my homework i was still forced. During the part when the bread is passed around i saw a old jw with many helth problems even had an oxegn machine attached to him.Anyway the bread got to him and he looked at it and then picked it up now all the elders stood up in a funny motion he opened his mouth to ACTUALLY EAT THE BERAD!!!. now u had to be there to see the commotion of the elders and the look on everybody face but an elder got him before he at it. I belive that he was just a study.

I saw the movie and it was good, but for me it was a little to gory. But with Jesus falling 5 times was crazy my class in grade 8 were discussing that. Seems a lot of people noticed it.

I just had to note on what you said,I confess that I am not as articulate as u think I had help from my dad they were all my thoughts but some of them I could not explain (I wish this board had spell check).Oh and with your sons I am glad to here that they found there way out of the truth and are getting stronger every day.I am lucky to have a supportive dad because I had a lot of stress all my life.I was lucky to be the yungest to leave the cult at the age of twelve (luckily the law was on my side).One of the main reasons i left my mom and the cult is divorce and family break up caused by the cult.All of my bros are 24-32 years old. They are also a good source of support.

2am visit from elders. Car chase!
by kwintestal into get a break from my jw parents when i was 17 (i'm 25 now) i took an apartment of my own.
i was working full time and going to school.
a busy schedule that allowed me to miss meetings without them constantly hounding me.

I'm shocked they actually chased u even though i shouldn't be there all crazy.
I remember my first time i got called from my friends place to see the elders because they saw me questioning my mom about the cult. They just tried to make me feel guilty being me i was too scard to tell the truth.But still being chased that crazy.

I am new here and I may be one of the yungest to join this board. I am 13 and i have been wanting to join for quit a while. Up to now, my only access to the internet was at my mom's. She is a current jw and you can imagine what would happen if she found this board on my computer. Now that my dad has bought me a computer, I have access to the internet and he does not mind me going on this site (he even encouraged it).Now that i am going into high school, I am releaved that i can concentrate on my studies instead of preparing for talks bookstudies and meetings.
Thanks to my dad (aka 68storm), I have already met some nice people that used to be jw's, but the verry best so far has to be everyones fav granny,mouthy (aka Grace).I still remember the first time i met her she gave me a big hug and encouraged me to look into my mothers religion. She is amazing!!!! she is always looking out for everyone else but herself.Anyway I hope to meet some new people and make some new friends.I will try to post more than my dad.
